Description:
We are seeking a BI Systems Administrator to lead the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the Collibra data governance platform. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the platform's optimal performance, automating critical processes, and providing daily operational support. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable data usability, quality, and protection within a growing and dynamic environment.



Responsibilities

• Install & Configure: Deploy and maintain the latest supported versions of Collibra, ensuring proper configuration and platform stability.


• System Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Oversee platform health, monitor server performance, and promptly resolve infrastructure-related issues.


• Architecture & Best Practices: Define, document, and implement best practices for Collibra infrastructure, coordinating operational design and daily platform operations.


• Operational Support: Manage import schedules, platform updates, and overall operating models to streamline workflows.


• Automation & Alerts: Develop automated alerts and adjust configuration settings to optimize system performance.


• Framework Development: Design and develop framework packages to support evolving reporting and data governance requirements.


• Security Management: Implement robust security measures by creating and managing users, groups, and relevant object permissions.


• License Management: Monitor licensing for production usage and proactively advise on adjustments as needed.


• Backup & Recovery: Create, test, and maintain processes for data backup and recovery of BI applications.


• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with other IT and business teams to enhance data usability, quality, and protection efforts.


• Vendor Coordination: Act as a liaison between third-party technical support and internal stakeholders to resolve software defects efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must live in the state of Texas


• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics.


• 5+ years of hands-on experience utilizing Collibra or other data governance platforms.


• Proven understanding of data governance principles, data lineage, metadata management, and workflow processes.


• Proficiency in SQL, SAS, or similar tools for data management and integration.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience designing and deploying BI infrastructure at scale.


• Familiarity with automating processes for data integration, reporting, or governance functions.


• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.


• Certifications or formal training related to data governance, Collibra, or BI systems.
