Essential Functions
Responsible for moderately complex accounting activities supporting the accurate and timely closing of the general ledger.
Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed asset processing, lease/contract review, accrual entries, and/or budget variance reviews.
Research and analysis of assigned large elements of revenue and expense and the related internal reporting.
Ensure assigned general ledger account balances are materially correct in compliance with internal controls and GAAP and that internal control risks are tested and documented in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
Coordinate and communicate with business partners providing guidance regarding accounting policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or other related quantitative discipline is required.
Minimum Experience
Two (2) years experience in accounting for financial reporting in a public accounting firm or in a large for-profit corporate environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong analytical and financial analysis skills required.
Working knowledge of GAAP standards required.
Proficient in business software, spreadsheet applications and/or mainframe or web based applications.
Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: This position is located in Memphis, TN. and is considered Hybrid. Proficient in Excel, Understanding of accounting fundamentals (ie T-accounts), Familiar with simple SQL statements
Pay Transparency: Relocation and sponsorship may be available depending on business needs.
Pay: Salary range is 4,600.74 to 7,000.00 monthly
