Job Description:

Director Sales Wide Format is responsible for the managing and performance of Wide Format sales. Including but not limited to, media, ink and consumables within the wide format segment, its growth and sales personnel as well as serving as a resource and liaison with Marketing and Operations teams to achieve customer satisfaction, productivity, and economic goals. (This is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.)

Essential Position Functions:


  • Manage, develop, and drive profitable wide format sales growth and margins supporting the company's strategies and initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with customers, branch personnel and headquarters personnel.

  • Integrate and align wide format sales plans with available processes, systems, talent, and other areas in order to increase the capability and success of the sales force.

  • Participate in business events where wide format expertise is needed.

  • Represent the company while developing and maintaining strategic relationships with vendors/partners.

  • Review and analyze sales personnel performance results and take corrective and/or training & development actions as needed.

  • Drive wide format initiatives as set by Corporate.

  • Provide leadership, building a team environment to accomplish company goals.

  • Other related duties as required.

Education and/or Experience:


  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Bachelor's degree or related equivalent experience required.

  • Minimum 3 years of management / leadership role in the wide format industry.

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in wide format distribution or similar industry.

  • Thorough knowledge of wide format suppliers and products.

  • Must have intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.

  • Must be able to efficiently use a Windows-based computer.

  • Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communications skills.

  • Position requires a strong leader, a visionary thinker, a strategic planner, and a multi-tasker that exercises sound judgment, good listening, extensive client consultation experience, attention to detail and a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.

  • Must possess the ability to create and maintain a respectful, positive, transparent, and collaborative work environment.

  • Must be able to read and communicate in English, for safe and effective performance of the job and business operations.

  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.

Physical Demands


  • Regularly required to walk and stand continuously for long periods of time.

  • Lift up to 25 lbs.

  • Must have a US Driver License and able to travel Domestically for days at a time.

Mental Demands

  • Regularly required to use written and oral communication skills.

  • Will interact regularly with managers and staff.

  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision.

Work Environment
  • Employee works in an office environment and occasional production environments. Due to travel responsibilities, employee will be exposed to weather and typical driving conditions.
