Job description

The Role

Korn Ferry is seeking a Manager - Preboarding & Concierges Services to support our RPO healthcare client. The Manager oversees and optimizes the entire preboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition for new hires from offer acceptance to their first day. This role involves managing preboarding activities, ensuring compliance with company policies, and enhancing the overall candidate experience. The Preboarding Team Manager collaborates closely with recruiters, HR teams, and hiring managers to streamline processes and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and Implement Strategy: Develop, implement, and manage the company's preboarding strategy to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.


  • Oversee Pre-Employment Activities: Oversee all pre-employment activities, including background checks, drug screenings, employment verifications, and documentation completion.


  • Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Team Leads and Preboarding Specialists or Coordinators, providing guidance, training, and support.


  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices in preboarding processes.


  • Collaboration: Work closely with Talent Acquisition, HR, and hiring managers to coordinate onboarding logistics and resolve any preboarding challenges.


  • Engagement Initiatives: Design and enhance preboarding engagement initiatives, such as welcome emails and preparation materials for new hires.


  • Monitor and Analyze Metrics: Monitor preboarding metrics, analyze data, and identify areas for process improvement.


  • Technology Solutions: Implement technology solutions to automate and enhance the preboarding experience.


  • Point of Escalation: Serve as the primary point of escalation for preboarding-related concerns and issues.


  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and refine preboarding workflows to enhance efficiency and improve new hire retention.


Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or five years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in talent acquisition with a focus on preboarding or onboarding processes and experience leading a talent acquisition team.

  • Extensive experience with preboarding processes and metrics.

  • Proven ability to develop and refine preboarding and onboarding workflows.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Familiarity with SLA's/SOW as it relates to our business.

  • Computer proficiency, specifically MS Office Suite and ideally a range of Applicant Tracking Systems.

  • Familiarity with Human Resource laws and functions.

  • Track record of success in leading and motivating the delivery team.

  • Ability to analyze complex data to drive improvements.

  • Excellent planning and organizing skills; able to "juggle" responsibilities effectively in a high volume, fast-paced service environment.

  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively with client and in large group settings.

  • Strong customer and results orientation.

  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.

  • Energetic, confidence, maturity and interpersonal sensitivity.
