Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) Department of Medicine is recruiting seeking a dynamic and results-driven a Program Manager (Director (PD) to spearhead lead and oversee strategic initiatives across our brand-new hospital center --the Gould Center. The center's focus will be on Asthma Research and Care. The Gould Center center is funded by a $15 million dollar grant from the Gould foundation. Its mission is to to focus on Asthma Research and Care. and serve as a hub for groundbreaking Asthma Research and Care. The manager will advance these .The director is responsible for setting program goals, ensuring alignment with an opportunity to work with internationally recognized leaders organizational objectives, and fostering collaboration among key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asthma care and research at a world-renowned medical institution affiliated with Harvard Medical School.
The PM will work directly with the Principal Investigators as well as other faculty and staff members to advance the mission of the Center. The Manager will be responsible strategic planning and implementation of initiatives that will support the research and clinical missions of the, cross-functional leadership, and operational execution, with direct engagement in decision-making processes alongside Center, division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and work in harmony with other departments. And departmental leaders. In collaboration with the directors Center leaders, they will hire and supervise research and clinical personnel to assist them in executing on the Center's goals. In addition to helping to facilitate strategic initiatives, they will manage oversee the logistical and administrative direction for the program.

Programmatic Strategy & Partnerships (45%):
Strategic Visioning : CollaboratePlanning and Execution: Partners with directorsfaculty leaders to executeidentify, set, and achieve specific goals through various efforts, developing and implementing strategic planningplans, identify collaborative and synergistic research opportunities, recruiting partnerships, and facilitating opportunities where applicable, ensuring the Gould Center stays at the forefront of asthma care and research.
Goal Execution & Monitoring : Ensure timely realization of objectives and develop reports to oversee Center initiatives.
Leadership and Collaboration: Serves as a key liaison between the Gould Center and the PCCM division, Allergy, Channing, and other relevant partnerships and constituents. Works to build connections and establish working relationships with academic entities across the Harvard and MGB ecosystems to develop programs and initiatives that promote asthma research and care through collaborations, developing or creating access to shared resources, and other efforts.
Stakeholder Engagement : Interfaces with both internal teams and external stakeholders, while enjoying opportunities to engage with hospital leadership.
Team Development : Support the Identification, recruitment and training of the best talent to execute the Center's vision. Foster a collaborative work environment that emphasizes teamwork and engagement.
Donor Relations : Collaborate with the development office, keeping our generous donors informed and involved in the Center's advancements.
Operational Excellence Strategic Communication: Partner with development to facilitate strategic communication of funding opportunities to ensure Gould initiatives (research and otherwise) are appropriately communicated to prospective donors.
Directs the internal review process to select institutional nominees for all limited submission funding opportunities, as applicable.
Program Development and Oversight: Develops and executes programs critical to fulfilling the mission of the Gould Center. Works with a variety of leaders and stakeholders to design and deliver seminars, symposia, workshops, speaker series, and other programs and projects.
Administrative Operations (40%):
Performance Measurement & Reporting: Develop SOPs, policies and procedures, maintain essential documentation, and ensure compliance with current regulations.
Expert Problem-Solving :Operational Oversight: Identify and resolve operational problems as they arise. Tracks work and progress on Gould Center projects. Reviews assignments/tasks and independently determines priorities and progress as appropriate. Provide research, logistical expertise, and innovative solutions to research, patient care, and professional challenges. Take on other strategic and operational tasks as the Center grows and evolves.
Financial Oversight :Team Building: Support the Identification, recruitment and training of the best talent to execute the Center's vision. Foster a collaborative work environment that emphasizes teamwork and engagement.
Finance (15%):
Budget & Resource Allocation: Responsible for financial management of the Gould Center budget and expenditures. Ensure fiscal responsibility, bridging communication between the financial and research teams to keep projects and funding on track.
Adaptable Leadership : Take on other strategic and operational tasks as the Center grows and evolves.
Qualifications:
Master's degree preferred
Previous leadership experience in a progressively responsible position
Experience in healthcare and research required
Understanding and working knowledge of principles of SOPs, GCP, FDA, IRB, clinical research methodology, regulations, and compliance required
