As our new Accounting Manager, you will provide a wide variety of accounting services to property and will report directly to the General Manage. This individual interacts with other team members and guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
Financial: This position will be required to follow all accounting standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with the B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group’s internal controls and the accuracy of financial reporting. Key responsibilities are to assist with analysis of productivity and financial reports and make recommendations for improvements. The ability to perform, as assigned by the General Manager, the functions of General Cashier, Income Audit, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll is required. One or more of the previously mentioned accounting functions will be assigned by the Controller and could change at any time. Additionally, this position will assist with month end closing and be required to independently complete projects as assigned by the General Manager.
Cost Control: Assists all departments in maximizing efficiencies. Assists in identifying maximization of revenue for the hotel and restaurant. Assists department managers in effectively managing expenses and labor costs. Follows procurement guidelines and applies good business judgment.
Operational Procedures: Provides leadership support in maintaining established controls and standard procedures. Serves as a resource for all management and hourly staff.
Training: Analyzes quality issues, identifies training needs and ensures implementation to improve results. Utilizes available resources and adheres to B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group training policies.
Guest Service: Anticipates and responds to guests in a friendly, positive and timely manner. Works as a team player in meeting guests needs, and actively contributes to the efforts of other departments as necessary Understands and follows B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group guest service recovery program.
Safety/Risk Management: Maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group, brand, local, state and federal regulations. Follows all B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group procedures for guest/associate incidents. Knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures.
Self-Management: Produces required volume of work by planning, organizing and prioritizing work duties. Adheres to B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group attendance policy, grooming/appearance standards, general work rules, and department procedures. Attends all required department and hotel meetings.
Position Requirements (Skills/Abilities):
Experience: 3+ years of progressive brand hotel accounting experience required. Excellent computer knowledge needed with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Knowledge of financial analysis needed to identify areas of opportunity to make recommendations for improvements. Attention to detail, customer focused and the ability to perform job duties in fast paced environment. Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
Education: Four-year degree in accounting or finance with accounting courses or equivalent experience required.
