The new University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Campus will open in the Spring of 2025. This 469,000 square foot facility will be home to UI Health Care's nationally recognized Orthopedics service line, offering comprehensive, coordinated, and accessible care across the outpatient, inpatient and surgical venues. These state-of-the-art clinical facilities will also include a full-service community imaging center, laboratory services, physical therapy, retail pharmacy, and emergency department as well as an array of support services. The facility has been designed to support a superior patient and staff experience; excellence across our patient care, teaching and research missions; convenient access to services; and engaging community partnerships. University of Iowa Health Care, Department of Anesthesia is seeking a Clinical Technician I. This position under general supervision, operates and maintains specialized medical equipment for use in performance of tests and studies related to the treatment of patients and to assist the Anesthesia providers before, during, and following patient procedures at our University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Campus.

Characteristic Duties of our Clinical Technicians include but are not limited to:

  • Provide care, maintenance, troubleshooting, and instruction in the proper usage of anesthesia equipment and supplies.
  • Assures supplies are available for the next case.
  • Perform daily assignments in patient care activities.
  • Continuous demonstration of team-oriented values.
  • Track inventory control, including stocking the anesthesia workroom.
Location: Medical Center North Liberty

*Please note - Prior to the Medical Center North Liberty opening, candidates will be expected to begin orientation at our Medical Center University Campus in Iowa City.



Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • One year of health care experience involving direct patient care.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, patients, and the public.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to collect data and maintain accurate records.
