Job Description Summary:
The API Platform team is looking for a highly talented, self-driven, proven software lead engineer to take on the challenge of building the API Development Lifecycle for PayPal . As an engineer on our API Platform team you will be responsible for the development of key building blocks the API development lifecycle and integrate with various tenants like PayPal, Venmo, Hyperwallet etc to build UI experiences and backend integrations that keep customers engaged.
We are looking for software engineers who are curious, fast-learning, and versatile, to join the team to develop the next-generation of Self Service solutions that will change how development teams manage their APIs. You will work closely with product, architects and other teams to understand the business needs and deliver solutions to meet their needs.

This role is critical to defining the way developers at PayPal define APIs both internally and externally. You will be responsible for developing the workflow used by application developers to create world class API lifecycle management, along with many of the components that feed into that workflow.

There are engineers at all phases of their career, so you will have the opportunity to learn from people with more experience, and to teach people who can learn from you. You will work with 3 adjacent teams who are all striving for the same goal. You will be fully supported by a team of product and program managers to ensure your success as you help lead the vision for the next generation of PayPal's API Platform.
