Job Title:Graduate Program Services SpecialistDepartment:FAES | School of Environment and Natural Resources
The Graduate Program Services Specialist provides academic program services support for SENR's diverse graduate education offerings and has a particular focus on supporting students and faculty members involved in the MS and PhD degrees. Position duties include:
Current student support
Provides support for all graduate students affiliated with the School of Environment and Natural Resources, including those in the Environment and Natural Resources Graduate Program (ENRGP) and Environmental Sciences Graduate Program (ESGP) students who have faculty advisors in SENR.
Provide academic advising to all graduate students seeking a degree, certificate, or minor in ENRGP; rigorously monitor MS/PhD student progress, providing outreach to and fielding questions from students and faculty advisors.
Makes assignments and reassignments to graduate student offices based on existing procedure.
Identifies and promotes student professional development resources, including teaching or career development opportunities.
Audit graduation applications.
Recruitment and admissions
Supports the recruitment and marketing of SENR's graduate programs to prospective students: responds to inquiries from prospective graduate students; assists in development of marketing materials. represents SENR's graduate programs in virtual and in-person events, including online information sessions and table fairs, which may include off-campus travel; writes and sends campaigns for admitted applicants and onboarding campaigns prior to first term of enrollment.
Coordinates admissions operations for SENR's graduate programs: processes and monitors status of applications: responds to applicant questions and makes outreach to cultivate application completion; works with faculty members to identify and facilitate the admission of recruitable MS and PhD applicants.
Supports the yield and onboarding of admitted students: supports the processes of identifying and selecting applicants for competitive funding; coordinates funding offers; cultivates relationships with admitted students; plans and implements admitted student visits; coordinates orientation and welcome events for incoming students.
Administrative support
Coordinates hires and reappointments of graduate associates; serve as manager liaison for faculty members involved in ENRGP who hire graduate associates and for hiring graduate teaching associates.
Assist data collection for academic learning outcomes assessment process and other routine or ad-hoc reports.
Supports the proper maintenance and disposition of graduate program records.
Collect data on student outcomes post-graduation.
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 2 years of relevant experience; 2-4 years of experience in academic administration or student services preferred.

The salary range for this position is $22.69-$29.83/hr. with fulltime staff benefits.
The salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
