Job Description:

Performs journeyman/maintenance duties for the college.

Essential Functions:

• 
  

  Oversee and operate the Building Automation Systems to maximize efficiency of all building HVAC and lighting systems.

  
  


• 
  

  This position is responsible for performing In-House technical duties on building automation systems which includes scheduling, programming, installation, and trouble shooting and diagnostics.

  
  


• 
  

  This position will train HVAC and other maintenance personnel on use of the system.

  
  


• 
  

  This position will coordinate with outside contractors and vendors on repairs, supply, and construction.

  
  


• 
  

  This position will perform all the duties in the standard HVAC Journeyman position as well.

  
  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 
  

  Knowledge of HVAC systems

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of Building Automation Systems as it relates to HVAC Capability and experience to operate small equipment and large equipment

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to efficiently and effectively use Building Automation tools such as Web Control and other programs

  
  


• 
  

  Able to diagnose and repair HVAC systems

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to drive and operate heavy equipment

  Ability to operate and maintain hand held power equipment and tools

Minimum Education/Experience:

  High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)

  Minimum of 10 years in building and facilities HVAC systems as well as building automation systems such as Web Control.

  
  


• 
  

  Journeyman's card or equivalent experience

  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 
  

  Associate degree or two-year technical certificate
