Job Description:

Construction Bookkeeper




Hours: 6:30 am-3:00 pm



Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).


• Process invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor payments.


• Reconcile bank statements and manage company credit card transactions.


• Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements, if applicable.


• Prepare and submit financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and job cost reports.


• Track project expenses, monitor budgets, and allocate costs to specific jobs.


• Admin and receptionist duties


• Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and project managers regarding financial matters.


• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage 300, or Procore for financial management.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).


• 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the construction industry.


• Proficiency in construction accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Procore, or Viewpoint).


• Strong knowledge of job costing, AIA billing, and lien waivers.
