Grant Accountant at Ledgent Finance & Accounting in CULVER CITY, California

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial management for various grants and contracts.


• Reconcile grant and program ledgers, ensuring accurate month-end close and compliance with GAAP, and grant standards.


• Maintain compliance with grant agreements while improving financial processes and controls.


• Prepare and submit grant billings, payment drawdowns, and financial reports, including FFRs and cost reports.


• Manage Time and Effort reporting, ensuring accurate salary distributions and journal entries.


• Work with program directors and teams on budget planning, grant proposals, modifications, and reporting.


• Support audits and site visits by government agencies and independent auditors.


• Conduct financial reviews of grant subcontractors to ensure compliance.


• Provide training on fiscal grant reporting and compliance.

Qualifications:

• 
  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


• Experience in fund or nonprofit accounting, managing multiple government-funded programs.


• 
  5+ years of accounting experience (healthcare experience is a plus).


• Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Logic Functions).


• Experience with accounting software (Sage Intacct, Blackbaud Financial Edge, NetSuite, Oracle, etc.).


• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple deadlines.
