Job Description:

Position: Payroll Specialist



Duration: Temp to hire



Key Responsibilities:

• Process and verify payroll data using Kronos timekeeping and payroll systems.


• Review and reconcile timecards, ensuring accurate clock-in/clock-out records.


• Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions according to company policies and labor laws.


• Assist in the preparation and distribution of paychecks or direct deposits.


• Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and employee changes.


• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.


• Generate payroll reports and assist in audits as needed.


• Address employee inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies, tax withholdings, and benefits deductions.


• Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure accurate payroll processing.


• Stay updated on payroll laws and Kronos system enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field (preferred).


• 2+ years of payroll experience, with hands-on experience using Kronos.


• Knowledge of payroll laws, wage regulations, and tax withholdings.


• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software.
