The National Distribution VP will be responsible for managing an external sales team, collectively that team will manage key accounts and producers for F&G. This role will be responsible for budgeting, key account responsibilities and ownership, managing internal partnerships and sales forecasting and planning.
This position reports to the VP, Head of Middle Market Distribution and will have direct reports
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for management of National Account VPs and downstream sales team, by overseeing performance, providing coaching, development, feedback and holding employees accountable to specific sales goals and activities
Responsible for coordinating the development of business plans for each key account
Oversee wholesaling effectiveness within each Power Partner
Manage assigned budget, which includes; marketing dollars, travel expenses, and event budgets
Identify, source, and on-board potential new key accounts
Assist in the coordination/partnership of primary activities of the internal sales team supporting this channel
Generate monthly reports and deliver ad hoc projects to the VP, Head of Middle Market Distribution
Work with key internal partners such as; competitive intelligence, marketing, operations and product development to ensure optimal coordination and partnership
Represent life sales as delegate on various committees or project teams
Partner with and support our partners at Peak Altitude Equity
Responsible for creating team goals, and holding team accountable for performance and execution. This includes developing key metrics to report sales on a quarterly basis to the VP, Head of Middle Market Distribution.
Experience and Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum 10 years of experience in the life business
Minimum of 4 years of experience as sales leader in the life business with a focus on sales and marketing
Industry designations of CLU, ChFC, CFP, FLMI, MSM are recommended
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Possess critical thinking skills
Ability to effectively relate vision and strategy to a variety of internal and external audiences
Ability to foster effective working relationships within the organization and with key accounts
Other Requirements:
Perform other functions, duties and projects as assigned
Regular and punctual attendance
Extensive travel required - up to 70%
Weekend travel required
