The Lead Accountant will be responsible for supporting a cutting-edge manufacturing operation with locations around the globe. As a Lead Accountant a typical day might include the following:

Under general supervision:

• Applying strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles to perform, review, or audit complex journal entries, account analyses, workpapers, and reconciliations, and performing month end close tasks and/or the consolidation of US and international entities, and/or coordinating external audits, and/or preparing complex tax returns.
  
  


• Preparing analysis of financial results requiring evaluation and judgment of complex situations, and providing other support and recommendations for division management.
  
  


• Preparing budgets, projections, product cost analyses, and other complex analyses including recommendations to management, and/or implementing or reviewing internal controls.
  
  


• Performing research and planning according to generally accepted accounting principles, tax laws, and/or IFRS, and making recommendations to management.
  
  


• Leading special projects.
  
  

This job might be for you if you:

• Have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  
  


• Are innovative, motivated, self-directed.
  
  


• Have advanced Excel skills.
  
  


• Have strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles, theories, and concepts, and/or strong knowledge of GAAP, Tax, and/or IFRS.
  
  


• Have 6+ years of professional experience in accounting, finance, or related field.
  
  


• Have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA, CMA, or CFA; or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; or MBA.
  
  


• Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  
  


• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Tax systems.
  
  


• Tax, audit, project, and/or cost accounting experience.
  
  


• International accounting experience.

Pay Range Data



Lead Accountant $88,000 - $120,000 per year. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills. Our ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
