As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the construction, maintenance, and oversight of a specific knowledge area within the Engineering team. You will provide superior technical expertise in the following area:
Networking - including the support, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure, such as wired and wireless networks, routers, and switches, as well as ensuring network security and performance across cloud and on-premises environments.
Here's a snapshot of what you'd be doing:
Network Engineer:
Create and maintain documentation about specific systems, network configurations, policies, and procedures, storing them in a centralized repository for reference.
Work with Systems Architects and other engineers to optimize network design and implement best practices for scalability and reliability.
Perform necessary upgrades and maintenance, following industry best practices where applicable.
Assist other teams within Technology through cross-training and administrative tools.
Work with Systems Administrators to ensure that support tickets are completed in a timely manner.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure a secure, efficient, and reliable IT environment.
Design, configure, and maintain wired and wireless network infrastructure for high availability and performance.
Troubleshoot network performance issues using tools like Wireshark.
Implement network security best practices, including VLAN segmentation and access control lists (ACLs).
Manage and optimize cloud and on-premises networking.
Perform network upgrades, patching, and maintenance while minimizing downtime.
Lead network capacity planning and performance optimization to support business growth.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure a secure, efficient, and reliable IT environment.

Proficient in basic computer technologies, appropriate for an internet-based company
Regular and predictable attendance
Available to work outside normal business hours and/or on weekends
