Position Title: Customer Service & Sales Support Representative
Shift: M-F (8am-4pm)
Location: Addison, IL (In-Office)
Pay: $60-75k
Position Overview
The Customer Service & Sales Support Representative plays a key role in fostering strong relationships between our customers, sales team, and internal departments. As the primary point of contact, this individual embodies the company's values and goals, providing professional, empathetic, and thorough support to ensure a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality support and issue resolution for corporate customers, including national retailers, restaurants, distributors, and other partners.
Respond to product inquiries and resolve issues from the general public regarding items purchased at retail locations.
Oversee the end-to-end order process, from entry to delivery, coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate shipments, while addressing any order-related issues (such as pricing discrepancies).
Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets to track orders, shipments, and inventory.
Accurately input purchase orders, advance ship notices, invoices, credit memos, and return authorizations, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
Investigate and resolve customer deductions.
Use a variety of internal and external systems, including NetSuite, Retail Link, SPS Commerce, and WBSCM, to manage customer interactions and troubleshoot issues.
Answer incoming calls on the main company phone line, directing them to the appropriate team members as needed.
Maintain customer files, complaint logs, and other relevant documentation.
Assist with customer setups, item listings, changes, and price updates.
Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not mandatory.
A minimum of 2 years' experience in customer service or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and advanced Excel skills, including frequent use of v-lookups and pivot tables.
Familiarity with NetSuite and customer systems preferred
Strong data entry abilities (35+ WPM) with a focus on accuracy.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with a track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
A positive attitude and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Proven experience collaborating across teams to drive results.
Experience in the food industry is a plus.
