Our lovely client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, leadership experience, and proficiency with Spectrum Payroll systems. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely payroll for the organizations 800 employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Lead and mentor a team of 5 payroll specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective payroll operations.
Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, salary changes, and deductions.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll, including regular pay cycles, bonuses, and other compensation.
Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to resolve payroll-related issues and discrepancies.
Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and external agencies as required.
Manage and troubleshoot ADP Payroll system, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing.
At least 3 years of leadership experience in a payroll or related role.
Proficiency with Spectrum Payroll systems is preferred.
Union payroll experience required.
Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.
