Exor is looking for a Field Application Engineer with experience in industrial automation.
A passion for industrial automation and manufacturing will enable you to excel in this role where you will interact with industrial companies and with engineers from functions like R&D, purchasing, product design, manufacturing engineers, ... A strong engineering and IT background is required to learn about EXOR's high quality products and their best market applications. As a good listener and communicator, you will be able to interact with customers over the phone, through e-mail, and occasionally in person to understand and resolve their problems.
Providing customer sales and technical support in terms of
Searching for Upselling and Cross selling possibilities within existing customers/partners
Make sure, all our partners and our customers are using the X Platform to their fullest potential
Develop and educate our customers/partners with onboarding process
Ensure smooth, informative, and efficient onboarding processes that allow customers to quickly realize the benefit of our offerings
Monitor customer usage and intervene proactively to ensure they are leveraging our products/services to their maximum potential
Establish and maintain channels for customers to provide feedback, ensuring our products/services evolve in alignment with their needs
Responsibilities and duties:
Mastery of EXOR product families and IIOT solutions
Maintain internal data management systems used for technical support
Ensure customer satisfaction and information management towards HQ
Continuous learning willingness about industry trends and EXOR's products and services
Answer and resolve technical support cases over the phone and through e-mail
Help customers with project development through remote assistance and by providing proof of concept projects
Deliver live training over remote meetings and in person
Write FAQs and application notes related to resolved cases and Exor products/software in general
Ability to occasionally communicate with Italian HQ (in English / inter-cultural sensitivity is a plus)
Organization and time management
All other tasks as necessary
Qualification and skills:
Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering or Computer Science degree (Bachelor, preferred)
Experience with automated systems and robotics (PLC, HMI, systems engineering, ...) including HMI and PLC programming
Experience with Javascript or similar programming languages
Experience with Linux systems
Ability to multitask and budget time in an organized and efficient way to resolve various customer issues
Ability to work under stress and in a high-performance environment
Analytical thinking
Good communication skills and no fear in giving presentations/speaking in front of people
Customer centric way of working
Mastery of software and IT skills
Ability to work in the United States (work authorization)
Valid driver's license is mandatory
Willingness to travel 2-3 days per week
