A chemical company needs a reliability engineer to be part of the engineering team. This position works with both fixed and rotating equipment with additional focus on asset management. Some local travel.
KEY:
Over 5 years of experience in chemical/similar plant asset management and reliability engineering.
Extensive experience with rotating required; some with fixed
Mechanical/chemical or similar degree
Position:
Work as part of a regional reliability team as well as with local operations.
Assist site maintenance/reliability and ops with their reliability issues
"Own" The RCA program to address major failures and put forward solutions for sites and corporate
Work with individual operations to set-up and optimize their reliability systems
Manage site and multi-site reliability initiatives
Extensive work with rotating equipment: pumps, compressors, blowers
Extensive work with fixed equipment: chillers, piping, vessels, hydraulics, process assemblies, etc.
Understand/work with NDT/vibrantion, etc.
Work with, improve, RCM and TPM system.
This is a team position - no one need be expert at it all!
RCA, FMEA, MOC, etc - acronyms that you must know well!
Support capital projects and turnarounds
Required
BS in mechanical or chemical engineering
Potentially 10% travel for training and to assist/oversee efforts at other plants.
Significant experience in as many of the items above as possible
At least 5 years experience with operating plants (chemical, petrochem, refining, etc)
Must be legal to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
