Responsibilities
The Senior Corporate Enterprise Network Engineer performs a variety of network engineering tasks, including but not limited to:
Works under general supervision, managing tasks from inception to completion.
Expert knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6 protocols and services, including:
OSPF, Multi-Protocol BGP, MPLS (L2VPN, L3VPN, VPWS, TE, CSC), Multicast (MSDP, PIM-SM, PIM-SSM, Multicast VPN, Quality of Service, VPN Routing and Forwarding, and Stateless Firewall Filters).
Develops specifications for moderately complex problems.
Expertise with current and anticipated network equipment, including COTS 10 Gigabit Ethernet WAN and associated hardware/software.
Coordinates with Task Order PM, COTRs, and government representatives to ensure technical accuracy and user satisfaction.
Plans, performs, and documents laboratory assessments of hardware and software for both classified and unclassified DISN Services to ensure proper connectivity and operations between DLA WAN, DLA NOC, and DISA NOCs.
Assists in developing a Technology Assessment Plan (TAP), including objectives, scope, equipment configurations, technical approach, schedules, and responsibilities.
Generates and updates network design diagrams.
Prepares After Action Reports (AARs) documenting approaches, results, and recommendations.
Identifies new and emerging network capabilities and develops product evaluation criteria.
Produces formal documentation and recommendations for executive briefings.
Ensures interoperability between NIPR, SIPR, and DISN network equipment and services.
Plans and tracks implementation tasks.
Creates supporting configuration artifacts, including network maps, test plans, operational readiness test reports, device configurations, and maintenance procedures.
Knowledge and understanding of:
Wireless Technologies
IPv6 transition in NIPR & SIPR environments
Network Operations, including network defense and situational awareness
DISN Video Teleconferencing over NIPR & SIPR
VoIP integration with DISA Switched Network (DSN)
Digital Streaming Video
Coordinates and implements technology refreshes and upgrades to NIPR systems and equipment.
Identifies and evaluates emerging standards related to NIPR & SIPR and DLA/DOD mandates.
Required Qualifications
Minimum five (5) years of progressive IT experience in the following areas:
Deployment of WAN networks
Implementation of Pulse Secure Remote Access VPN and ability to provide Tier II/III troubleshooting
WAN equipment deployment on NIPR and SIPR
Technology refreshes and upgrades
Wireless technologies
IPv6 transition
Tier III network troubleshooting
Full WAN lifecycle support, including design, implementation, installation, testing, and transition to sustainment
Analysis of hardware, security policies, network management, protocols, and security solutions supporting LAN, WAN (NIPR & SIPR), and DISN interoperability
Security/Certification Requirements:
Active Secret Clearance with IT-I eligibility
Active CCNP Enterprise certification
One of the following DoD 8570 Baseline IAT Level III certifications:
