We are seeking a Senior or Staff-Level Consultant with deep expertise in AI-driven solutions, spanning multiple domains such as computer vision, natural language processing (NLP), semantic search, optimization, and multimodal systems. This role requires a strong technical foundation, a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, and the ability to guide organizations in identifying, developing, and deploying impactful AI solutions.
Your work will cross industries such as manufacturing, transportation, life sciences, energy, agriculture, and beyond, helping clients innovate through cutting-edge tools and practical AI applications.
Why Spantree?
Spantree exists to help growing organizations transcend technical limits. Our focus is on transforming complex, data-intensive systems through cross-disciplinary excellence, immersive domain understanding, and collaborative knowledge transfer.
What sets us apart is how we approach problems:
We combine technical rigor with user empathy, ensuring our solutions solve real problems, not just technical challenges.
We immerse ourselves in our clients' worlds, "falling in love with the problem" to deeply understand their needs and create impactful solutions.
We prioritize trust and partnership, working alongside client teams to transfer knowledge and leave organizations stronger than we found them.
Who You Are
Outcome-Focused Leader: You excel in open-ended, evolving environments. You balance technical exploration with the ability to deliver measurable value-whether improving search experiences in healthcare, optimizing manufacturing workflows, deploying conversational AI, or enhancing multimodal solutions.
Technical Visionary & Practitioner: You design AI systems that are both cutting-edge and practical, from fine-tuning neural networks to architecting scalable APIs and data platforms. You're equally comfortable experimenting with novel techniques and delivering production-ready solutions.
Pragmatic Problem-Solver: You excel at selecting the right tools for the job, understanding trade-offs, and recognizing where AI is (or isn't) the right fit for a problem.
Collaborative Mentor: You inspire your peers with your knowledge and approachability. You actively coach others, share insights, and foster an inclusive, trusting team culture.
Strategic Communicator: You seamlessly transition between technical deep dives for engineers and strategic discussions with non-technical stakeholders, making complex concepts accessible and actionable.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Roadmapping: Define technical roadmaps for complex AI initiatives-including Vision AI, Data Science, and other emerging fields-ensuring that solutions align with our clients' broader strategic goals.
Architecture & Implementation: Architect end-to-end AI solutions, from labeling workflows and GPU-accelerated model training to robust MLOps pipelines. You'll integrate these solutions into broader technical ecosystems-APIs, microservices, and cloud infrastructures-and ensure they are reliable, observable, and maintainable.
Mentorship & Knowledge Transfer: Elevate the entire team's technical excellence. Mentor consultants on best practices in model development, code quality, and system design. In line with our ethos of immersive collaboration, you'll engage in pair programming, documentation, and frequent knowledge sharing.
Domain Immersion & Consulting: Dive into your clients' worlds. Whether you're working in energy, agriculture, life sciences, or manufacturing, you'll understand their unique challenges and help them adopt solutions that blend technical rigor with deep domain insights.
Adaptability Across AI Projects: While Vision AI is your core focus, you'll also lead initiatives in other AI domains-like data-driven optimization, semantic search, or multimodal LLM integration-depending on project demands. Over time, you'll also help us build and sell new Vision AI capabilities.
