Job Description:
Construction Leader required for a Major Energy Developer on the East Coast.
Responsibilities:
- Spend at least 90% of the workday in the field, addressing issues with the contractor and project management team.
- Monitor field quality of work and materials to ensure compliance with project specifications, regulatory codes, and company standards.
- Conduct site inspections to assess work quality and material usage by vendors and subcontractors.
- Identify and report any deviations from contract specifications to the Construction Manager and/or Project Manager.
- Provide quality inspection reports and status updates as needed.
- Communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and management, providing feedback and raising any concerns encountered.
- Maintain an understanding of safety, environmental compliance, and operational standards, ensuring all personnel adhere to them.
- Qualify for fieldwork, including confined spaces, climbing stairs/ladders, and wearing a respirator.
- Ensure a strong focus on Safety and Environmental Compliance for all project activities.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in construction, engineering, and/or management.
- Strong understanding of construction practices, equipment, and scheduling.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with OSHA industrial safety standards.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
