We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator/Project Engineer with 10+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cost estimation, project engineering, and execution planning for large-scale upstream, midstream, and downstream projects. This role will play a key part in project planning, budgeting, and cost-effective execution, while maintaining the highest safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Estimating & Cost Control:
Develop detailed cost estimates for oil & gas projects, including pipelines, refineries, offshore/onshore facilities, and drilling operations.
Utilize industry-standard estimation tools and software (e.g., Aspen Capital Cost Estimator, Primavera P6, SAP, or similar).
Perform risk analysis and contingency planning, ensuring budget accuracy.
Track, analyze, and control project costs, forecasting overruns and recommending solutions.
Collaborate with procurement and contracting teams to secure competitive vendor pricing.
2. Project Engineering & Execution:
Develop and manage engineering design scopes, specifications, and project deliverables.
Ensure compliance with ASME, API, ANSI, OSHA, and other industry standards.
Provide technical oversight for EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
Lead project scheduling, progress tracking, and milestone reporting.
3. Risk Management & Compliance:
Identify and mitigate engineering, environmental, and safety risks in alignment with company and federal regulations.
Ensure all project designs and cost estimates comply with Alaskan and federal environmental laws.
Support regulatory permitting and stakeholder engagement processes.
4. Stakeholder & Client Communication:
Present cost estimates, progress reports, and engineering solutions to senior management and clients.
Lead project meetings, vendor negotiations, and subcontractor evaluations.
Ensure seamless collaboration between engineering, construction, and finance teams.
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum, or related field) - Required
