Job Description:

Our Client is seeking highly skilled and experienced Technical Program Manager with a strong technical background to manage the complexity of advanced research alongside product development. You will play a pivotal role in driving complex, multidisciplinary projects from concept to launch, bridging research, engineering, and manufacturing disciplines.

Responsibilities:
  • Program Leadership: Lead end-to-end program management for cutting-edge consumer electronics product development, overseeing parallel workflows and ensuring seamless collaboration across teams
  • Strategic Planning: Define project scope, objectives, and milestones, aligning them with technical and business goals to drive execution
  • Technical Expertise: Break down complex technical concepts into detailed, actionable plans, assess trade-offs across R&D teams, and deliver precise status updates, risk assessments, and technical insights to stakeholders, including executives
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with product managers, engineers, and global teams to facilitate communication, resolve dependencies, and manage risks effectively
  • Program Execution: Manage timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time delivery while proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Subcontractor relationships: Build and maintain strong working relationships with external contractors and oversee their work to ensure it aligns with project goals and quality standards
  • Process Optimization: Refine program management processes and adopt tools to improve collaboration, efficiency, and the transition from development to production

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical, Software, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
  • 10+ years managing complex, multidisciplinary programs, preferably in consumer electronics
  • Strong knowledge of hardware, mechanical systems, software, and their integration; ML or optics experience is a plus
  • Hands-on expertise with development lifecycles for hardware, software, and mechanical systems
  • Experience with consumer electronics systems and working with external contractors and manufacturers (a plus)
  • Proven experience managing engineering projects and transitioning products to mass production
  • Proficiency in Agile or hybrid methodologies for multidisciplinary teams, with expertise in program management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Project)
  • Skilled in managing R&D deliverables and aligning them with product roadmaps
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage parallel work streams
  • Salary range - $180,000 - $200,000
