The mission of EXXCEL Project Management is the development and construction of repeatable relationships. We work nationally providing design-build construction services for the industrial, commercial, and retail markets with a major focus in distribution, food processing, and light manufacturing facilities. We have completed 125 million plus sq. ft. of projects in the 45 states we are licensed to do business.
We are looking for a talented Senior Superintendent to execute our projects in the field.
The Senior Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all aspects of field construction, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards. As Chief Safety officer for projects, this role requires strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations, in addition to project schedules, and budget constraints, while effectively managing subcontractors, field staff, and site logistics. The Senior Superintendent also provides technical expertise, including but not limited to surveying, cut/fill analysis, quality assurance, safety compliance, and construction oversight on their own assigned projects as well as project supervised by those that report to them. The Senior Superintendent is responsible for protection and promotion of EXXCEL's interests at all times.
This position demands strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The role requires regional travel and reports directly to the job site field office.
The Senior Superintendent must demonstrate knowledge in disciplined construction principles, practices and methods, environmental regulations, engineering project management methods, workplace safety, employee supervision, and change management processes. Ground up warehouse construction knowledge required.
A Senior Superintendent must be flexible and able to work well in a fast-paced environment. He or she should be competent in handling simultaneously occurring tasks and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Procore experience is a plus. A person in this position will report to a jobsite field office, whose location may require regional travel.
