Manufacturing Quality Engineer • Location: Chandler, AZ • Type: W2 contract (NO C2C OR THIRD PARTY) • Length: Until 12/2025 (Contract extension expectation) • Pay Rate - $40 - $45 hourly depending on experience • Work Authorization - Must be able to work in the U.S. with approved authorization status.
What You'll Do:
Support the transfer of the manufacturing production lines from facility in Lakeland FL to facility in Chandler AZ as a quality engineer.
As part of the role, you will be supporting the updates necessary to work instructions, SOPs, product specifications (where necessary), equipment specifications, risk documents and DHR documents as well as supporting the planning and execution of equipment, facilities and process validations.
Develops and implements methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure that the products are free of flaws and function as designed.
Designs and installs sophisticated testing equipment and performs product testing and analysis to maintain quality levels and minimize defects and failure rates.
Analyzes reports and defective products to determine trends and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborates with supplier representatives on quality problems, ensures that effective corrective actions are implemented and contributes to supplier quality improvement programs.
Education/Experience:
Bachelors in Engineering, preferred in Biomedical, Mechanical or Industrial but open to parallel fields like Aeronautical.
Problem solving - With the transfer things are going to break or work differently in the destination site and we need you to be able to adapt and find efficient solutions.
Critical thinking - As part of the transfer sometimes things don't line up 1 to 1 so you need to be able to critical analyze the important characteristics of the content and adapt on the fly.
Collaboration - Will be a part of a large group that is working on the transfer and will need to seek input from a diverse set of functions and people.
Med device risk documentation, Validations, Picture process manufacturing instructions, quality records, Med device Quality management systems, SAP/JDE ERP systems (Preferred).
