What You'll Do as a Purchasing Specialist:
Manage purchase orders and collaborate with department managers to fulfill product requirements.
Negotiate pricing to secure the best cost, quality, and delivery terms.
Communicate with suppliers for orders, revisions, claims, and losses.
Oversee supplier relationships, certifications, and risk assessments.
Administer online purchasing systems and maintain a unified purchasing process for multiple sites.
Monitor shipments, production schedules, and inventory to ensure timely replenishment.
Audit material costs and track departmental spending.
What You'll Bring as a Purchasing Specialist:
Experience in market research and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (xTuple preferred).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
2+ years of experience in an office or manufacturing setting (preferred).
A bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
This role requires attention to detail, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
