Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Buyer/Planner to join their dynamic supply chain team. This role is pivotal in driving strategic initiatives focused on optimizing quality, cost, and delivery performance. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in leadership, strategic sourcing, and meticulous planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Independently evaluate supply chain processes, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
Planning & Procurement: Develop and execute comprehensive purchasing plans, manage MRP/Kanban systems, and monitor supplier performance. Interface with New Product Development teams.
Global Sourcing & Negotiation: Conduct ethical negotiations, establish long-term supplier contracts, and perform "make vs. buy" analyses.
Continuous Improvement: Utilize A3 problem-solving methodologies and implement projects to standardize processes and enhance efficiency.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards (FDA, CGMP, ISO), participate in Material Review Board activities, and implement quality improvement measures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Project Management certification preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive supply chain experience.
Proficiency in MRP/Kanban systems and data analysis.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Experience in a regulated environment (FDA preferred).
Ability to mentor and train other team members.
