The Operations Specialist - Trade Management is responsible for executing specialized securities processing activities to support the firm's business operations. This includes tasks such as instruction receipt, authentication, routing, entry verification, processing, recording, reporting, and reconciliation.
A key aspect of this role involves identifying market-related issues in trade instructions-such as missing or conflicting requirements-and communicating resolutions directly to clients. The Specialist is also expected to analyze trends to enhance Straight-Through Processing (STP) for both the firm and its clients, contributing to an improved overall client experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Process client trades submitted to client, including STP trades, automated trades requiring repair, and manual trade entry.
Authenticate, confirm, and distribute all faxed trade instructions received by the bank.
Perform validation checks on electronic trades, ensuring that incomplete, inconsistent, or improperly formatted data is identified and sent for resolution.
Manually enter faxed trade tickets into the Global Trade Processing System (GTPS).
Process complex and client-specific trade instructions with accuracy and efficiency.
Conduct dual-control verification before releasing transactions to internal teams and the market.
Escalate potential or identified issues to management as necessary.
Investigate and resolve transaction-related issues using established procedures, client documentation, and available systems.
Analyze instruction trends and provide feedback to enhance compliance with market requirements and standards.
Professionally communicate instruction-related issues and expected resolutions to clients.
Deliver superior client service by ensuring timely and accurate processing.
