The Vice President of Employee Experience is a strategic, versatile and pragmatic executive who will leadarchitect the strategy and execution of employee experience (EX) and internal communications across the organization. Reporting to the Global Head of Human Resources, you will be the global leader of company-wide talent initiatives, collaborating closely with various teams to oversee and execute transformational alignment, manage content creation strategy, and provide strategic counsel to leadership and cross-functional teams.
This leadership role is both customer and employee centric, instrumental in shaping, developing, and delivering innovative communication and employee value proposition initiatives that foster employee engagement and nurture an inclusive culture from end to end of the employee lifecycle, align teams with the company's vision and objectives, strengthen the organizational culture, brand, and competitive advantage.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
A storyteller by nature with an innate ability to unpack and simplify complex information, news, and direction into compelling messaging. The individual in this role thrives in highly collaborative, fast paced, and rapidly evolving environments and passionate and steadfast in delivering quality outcomes aligned to the organizational, business and workforce imperatives.
Architect strategic communications and EX roadmaps and campaigns to shape, implement and synchronize programs to amplify our reputation as a great place to work, attract top talent, engage, empower and raise relevancy and brand reputation with internal and external audiences across multi-media channels.
Lead and partner with internal functional/COE leaders on the intersection and synergies of internal and external communications to ensure synchronization and relevancy of content release and efficient and effective pull through plans with measurable outcomes aligned to our vision, mission, purpose, and values.
Lead and manage content and narrative for all-employee forums such as CEO and Executive Leadership Town Halls, Ask Me Anything, Fireside Chats, Inclusion and Belonging Forums, Global Awards Ceremonies, Values and Innovation Awards, Community and Outreach Events and collaboration on other business and functional forums such as Sales and Marketing Conference, Senior Leadership offsites, Career Day, Wellness Days, Technology Symposiums, etc.).
Support Chief of Staff for all internal communications to ensure a consistent and compelling voice across all platforms. Support with building presentations, crafting talking points, remarks and identifying opportunities for the executive team and for conferences, panels, and interviews.
Advisor on executive/senior leader communications to ensure a consistent and compelling voice across all platforms. Support with building presentations, crafting talking points, remarks and identifying opportunities with preparation content for blogs, social media posts, articles, publications, video scripts, panel outlines and other external and internal forums.
Re-engineer, elevate and own/co-own company-wide "hire to retire" programs, initiatives and campaigns such as global branding and talent attraction activities, new talent global onboarding program, rewards and recognition tools, employee milestone and anniversary celebrations, career development, employee spotlights, internal mobility, and other employee touchpoints that nurtures a high-impact employee experience.
Lead the charge and data analysis of global surveys, focus groups and assessments such as employee engagement surveys, organizational health index surveys, voice of internal customer/stakeholders, brand study, culture assessments and other related employee experience and workplace surveys. Leverage the data to develop and implement scalable and tailored solutions that enhance our culture, promote our values, and foster a sense of belonging and inclusion.
Institute people and culture campaigns to fuel excitement and engagement to effectively connect the dots on how the employee programs/initiatives are designed to achieve an integrated and high-impact employee experience.
Manage internal communication channels and messaging across the company such as the company intranet, carousel, digital signage, people and culture marketing collateral, and other employee and customer facing signage and avenues of communication.
Be the content strategist and campaign architect for social media and other media outlets in partnership with internal stakeholders and business and functional SMEs.
Lead the company award submission, partnering with COEs and business groups to achieve Great Place to Work and Top Workplaces in various categories with Glassdoor, local, regional, and global lists, technology awards, sustainability awards, and other relevant and industry focused achievements and recognitions aligned to our competitive advantage.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, SMEs, and external entities as it relates to company reports and external facing news/media channels such as the Annual Report, ESG, press releases, public website, social media, digital marketing campaigns and public relations engagement and activities.
Lead and manage the strategic framework of our commitment to corporate citizenship and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to further our ESG efforts by partnering with organizations and community partners to make a difference where we operate around the globe through local initiatives, investments, and donations that expand access to opportunity and help respond to urgent needs such as Rise Against Hunger, STEM outreach in local and global schools, mentoring youth and other environmental, philanthropic and humanitarian focus areas.
Partner with the business and functional leaders on an Innovations that Resonates campaign to include internal demos, roadshows, Idea Spark, Innovation Hubs, competition, and innovation awards.
Work with business units to embed inclusive practices into our operations; develop a network of champions across the enterprise, and provide methodology, coaching, tools, and leadership to support belonging and inclusion efforts.
Design and oversight of a global all-employee/large event group size editorial content calendar to ensure narrative consistency, align and connect across functional and business activities and link it to current news, manage the volume of information being released and allow the audience to effectively receive, respond and efficiently action on the information provided.
Monitor and analyze communication and EX metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies and make data-driven improvements leveraging relevant KPIs and metrics to measure impact and ROI.
Stay current and apprised of industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance the company's communication and employee experience efforts.
Manage vendor relationships, partner with procurement on new contracts and ensure systems, tools, services, software, and platforms are scalable and aligned to achieving the organizational long-term goals.
Oversee the budget, manage expenses, including contractor costs, and ensure responsible financial planning.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
15+ years of progressive experience in HR, and change management and related work
Proven experience in change management, and season practitioner in leading and implementing successful company-wide programs with demonstrated global impact. PROSCI Certification required.
Track record in effectively assessing organizational health, efficiently design and develop solutions that drive alignment and synergy to our mission, vision and core values and integrate and embed those connectors (actions, guiding principles, competencies, behaviors and ways of working) throughout the employee lifecycle.
Experience in development the employee life cycle experience from talent attraction to retirement.
Experience with how to effectively navigate existing practices, procedures and interdependencies while incorporating and influencing novel approaches to connect the dots and pull through plans to inspire, motivate, and engage our employees.
Proven ability to strategically assess and analyze both external and internal environments to proactively develop strategies addressing needs and mitigating risks by leveraging data and market/industry trends.
Successful track record in building relationships, influencing, and managing stakeholders to foster a culture of collaboration, connection and empowerment.
Experience with leading and managing global conferences, conventions, and industry events (internal and external facing) such as Town Halls, Leadership Forums, external engagements, symposiums, trade shows, investor day, media engagements and other social networking connections.
Excels at prioritizing stakeholders and assessing outcomes and the strategic return on initiatives, with the ability to pivot strategy and direction as needed.
Travel Requirement: Up to 50% (Global and Domestic)
