Senior RPG Developer | IBM i (AS/400) Environment

???? Johns Creek, GA (Onsite 5 days/week)

6 Months - Contract to Hire

We are growing! As part of a recent acquisition with Summit Materials, we are expanding our IT team and looking to bring on a Senior RPG Developer to join our collaborative, dynamic environment. You will be joining a talented development team of 22, with plans to grow by 5-6 more engineers. This role plays a critical part in supporting and modernizing our mission-critical ERP applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain IBM i (AS/400) applications using RPGILE, RPG III, and CL.
  • Collaborate with business teams to support and enhance ERP systems.
  • Work on integration projects including e-billing (Wells Fargo) and accounts receivable automation.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues.
  • Collaborate with our Web Development team (Java, React, C++) to ensure seamless backend integration.

Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience developing in IBM AS400 (RPGILE, RPG III, CL).
  • Proficient in DB2, SQL, and relational database concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and technical troubleshooting.
  • Experience with IBM iSeries development tools.
  • Must be able to work onsite 5 days/week in Atlanta, GA.

Nice to Have:
  • JD Edwards World or EnterpriseOne experience.
  • Familiarity with FTP, SFTP, and IFS on IBM i.
  • Experience with RPG web services and integrating RPG with modern web technologies.
  • Exposure to AS400 Change Management Systems.
  • Additional programming experience in Java or C#.
  • Knowledge of SQL Report Writer or Query tools.

Interview Process:
  • Two rounds: (1) Technical Interview (Virtual) (2) Onsite Interview with IT Leadership.
  • Open to relocation, but no formal relocation package is provided.
