Basic Job Functions:
Be the project manager for building orders through the engineering department ensuring aggressive schedules, scope definition, continual communication, and follow-up. Along with the supervisor, offer direction, growth, and feedback opportunities to the detailing group, including:
- Setting expectations for progress, productivity, participation, and conduct (quality, quantity, work habits, etc.).
- Maximize department effectiveness through mentoring, coaching and leading individuals to realize and leverage their full potential.
- Assisting in recruiting, interviewing, and training of employees.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School or General Equivalency Diploma.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software.
- Willing and able to travel
- Experience in steel construction and/or related industry
- A minimum of one (1) year leadership experience
