Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the office the first six months. After the initial six months and good performance we will evaluate to moving you to a hybrid schedule if desired along with flexible hours based on a forty-hour work week.
Successful completion of Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (Exam MS-900) required within six months of employment.
Under broad guidance, the Web Portal Programmer is responsible for developing and maintaining web-based applications and services using programming languages such as HTML, Java, JavaScript, .NET, and Drupal. Other duties include website content management configuration and administration of Microsoft SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive. The Web Portal Programmer works with other members of the Information Technology Division in support of consultants and other HRSD business users in developing web-enabled applications and search engines that meet the requirements of the user community within and outside of HRSD.

Education
Required • Associate degree in an information technology related field, communications, or other relevant areas of study or a combination of education, experience, and/or certification(s) that provide the necessary technical competencies to perform in this position. • Education equivalency equals two years of directly related professional experience for every year of education not completed. The stated experience is in addition to any experience used to meet the education equivalency.
Experience
Required • Minimum of two (2) years of content management and website development. • Minimum of two (2) years Microsoft 365 experience with an emphasis on SharePoint and Teams administration.
Desired • Familiarity with Microsoft PowerApps and Power Automate • Familiarity with the Library of Virginia's document retention, data management policies and procedures
Licenses and Certifications Requirements • Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (Exam MS-900) or commensurate with HRSD's established standard (generally no more than one version behind current). Certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire. • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license from state of residence.
