Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Manufacturing Technology & U.S. Fabrication to lead and enhance our U.S. fabrication operations and oversee the implementation of advanced manufacturing technology across our global network. This role will drive operational efficiency, improve quality and productivity, and support the continued growth of our world-class dental laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead U.S. fabrication operations, ensuring continuous improvement in manufacturing technology across global facilities.
Stay current on industry trends, innovations, and best practices in dental laboratory manufacturing and communicate updates to executive leadership.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and execute process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
Implement and oversee operational improvements to drive better manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
Ensure the maintenance of U.S.-based manufacturing technology and equipment to optimize production efficiency.
Identify and mitigate risks within fabrication operations, safeguarding cost, quality, and delivery standards.
Supervise and mentor the U.S. fabrication technician team, ensuring high performance and development.
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and enhance operational performance.
Investigate root causes of operational challenges and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards for dental laboratory fabrication.
Work closely with executive leadership to align operations with company objectives and goals.
Promote a safe and compliant work environment, adhering to safety guidelines, including PPE standards.
Enforce company policies, procedures, and regulations consistently across the team.
Drive employee recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention to build a strong and effective team.
Coach and mentor employees to foster professional development and improve performance.
Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of dental laboratory experience.
In-depth knowledge of the dental industry, with experience managing specialized technicians and front-line staff.
Proven leadership skills with a track record of developing talent and achieving company goals.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead both individually and within teams.
Highly organized with an ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives.
Creative problem-solving abilities and a solution-oriented approach.
Self-sufficient, adaptable, and proactive in driving change and improvements.
Travel Requirements:
This role requires up to 25% international travel to oversee global facilities and technology implementation.
