Description

This position is on 1st shift. In this role, the Senior Quality Tech develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols in a low rate automotive type, manufacturing environment. The Quality Tech is responsible for ensuring requirements are met throughout various Assembly processes (ex. Engine Test, Subs, Main line, Garage, Testing, Paint & Processing). Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control system protocols for in process, partially finished or finished tracked vehicle product. Collaborates with various support organizations to investigate, document, communicate and resolve issues specific to various military vehicle build processes. Knowledgeable in quality methodologies, utilizes quality tools to help drive continuous improvement and is capable of coordinating and leading project efforts with cross functional support teams.

Skills Required

Requires an understanding of Quality Assurance / Quality Control fundamentals and principles; Experience operating within ISO 9001 processes; Strong background in problem solving techniques and analysis relating to low rate production; Proficiency in standard and industry-related software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Highly organized with effective written and verbal communication skills; Ability to interpret technical drawings

Skills Preferred

Formal training in root cause analysis; ORACLE MRP system knowledge; TIPQA experience; PFMEA's; GD&T experience; Familiarity with portable metrology technology and development of inspection programs; Experience performing ISO and layered process audits

Experience Required

High School Diploma with 10+ years relevant experience. Associates degree with 8+ years relevant experience. Bachelors degree with 5+ years relevant experience.

Experience Preferred

Experience working in a quality program in support of government contracts, preferably DoD; Experience working with the Defense Contract Management Association (DCMA)

Education Required

High School Diploma with 10+ years relevant experience. Associates degree with 8+ years relevant experience. Bachelors degree with 5+ years relevant experience.
