McDaniel College invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position in the Department of Biology, to begin Fall 2025.
Responsibilities are to teach four courses and labs per semester, primarily Introductory Biology lectures and labs. Opportunities may exist for new course development in the candidates area of expertise and for participating in the Colleges First Year Seminar, the Honors Program, and other general education programs. In addition, the candidate will advise biology majors with respect to course selection and course registration.
A strong candidate for this position will have demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching grounded in inclusive pedagogy and be an organized, collaborative colleague who works to coordinate with the existing Introductory Biology team. The salary range is $60,000-67,200 with a target hiring rate of $60,000.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in biological sciences required, ABD or PhD preferred.
Experience teaching at the college level is preferred.
Expertise in epidemiology, immunology, or bioinformatics will enhance the application.
