The Managing Director, Treasury Management Consultant, Sales Manager will work closely with product management and product development teams to define product needs to support growth objectives.
The Treasury Management Consultant (TMC) Sales Manager role will work to identify ways to improve the client experience and enhance Webster bank's brand in the marketplace. Seen as a trusted advisor, the TMC Sales Manager will work closely with their team and commercial clients to understand their business, optimize working capital, and minimize financial and reputational risks. They focus on creating and delivering customized client centric solutions through a consultative approach. Leveraging their network and collaborating across business lines the TMC Sales Manager influences strategy to meet the needs of clients while using sound judgment and assessing risk. The TMC Sales Manager values and fosters the spirit of teamwork and cooperation across value streams.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage a team of Treasury Management Consultants (TMC's) in the Regional Banking, Not-for-Profit, and Law Firm Banking Vertical
Overseeing team recruitment, coaching, performance, training, and development
Execute against the Commercial Bank Strategy and long-term Treasury Management Vision
Proactively initiate and manage sales and risk management activities that drive achievement of goals
Deliver Financial Targets for both Pipeline and portfolio to profitably expand the business
Build strong partnership with product, internal servicing and implementation groups and line of business partners through regularly scheduled meetings and proactive partnering
Identifies barriers to success for associates and consistently looks for ways to remove obstacles to help achieve Commercial Bank Strategy and vision
Plans and develops short and long-term strategies to achieve goal
Inspect and drive pipeline accuracy within audit and booking guidelines
Drive incremental sales revenue using available tools
Considers value of deposit in seeking and retaining business
Leverage available tools to drive sales and market strategy
Promotes use of consultative sales approach
Be the voice of the client to drive change within Webster Bank
Continually looks for opportunities to decrease costs and improve productivity
Oversight of exception pricing and waivers
Work collaboratively with partners and leadership to advance TM Sales priorities/agenda including cross-sell of Commercial Card and Merchant Services
Provides leadership and subject matter expertise on strategic projects related to Treasury Management
Acts as a key partner in the implementation and roll-out process for new products and product enhancements
Sales cycle knowledge including sales planning, sales approach, and providing solutions to business within commercial/business banking space
Effective interface with appropriate business lines to ensure appropriate technical support and resources for new or enhanced product/services
Operational expertise to identify systems issues and the ability to work with partners to triage and resolve those issues to ensure excellence in customer service
Develops the process for measuring trends and patterns relative to product/services, competitive patterns, market share, and market perception and image
Works in partnership with product development and product management teams to stimulate and generate ideas in the development and enhancement of products/services, including recommendations for and prioritization of the product/service development annual budget and funding justifications consistent with our strategic direction
Relationship Management: Management of sales including development of non-borrowing treasury management clients
Lead Special Projects as identified by oneself or senior management
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
At least 10 years of financial services experience
At least 7-10 years of treasury management sales experience
At least 5-7 years of leadership supervisory experience
In-depth to advanced knowledge and understanding of Treasury Management Services
The estimated salary range for this position is $175,000 USD to $200,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
