Role Overview:
Paralel's Fund Distribution team is seeking an experienced investment professional to serve as an Investment Consultant for certain registered investment funds. In this role, you will be responsible for building awareness of certain registered investment fund clients, primarily closed-end funds and ETFs. Primary responsibilities include promoting these products through multiple intermediary channels, helping to generate sales ideas, assist each client with their unique distribution and marketing strategies, and effectively positioning these strategies with financial advisers and wealth managers.
Job Responsibilities: (may include and are not limited to)
Communicate and meet with intermediaries including wirehouse, broker-dealer, and RIA channels.
Partner with client subject matter experts (portfolio managers, strategists, etc.) and compliance specialists in supporting marketing and distribution campaigns.
Identify and collaborate on digital marketing opportunities, both paid and organic, that align with the strategic goal to promote awareness of client investment funds.
Assist in the coordination of operational marketing tasks such as website content publishing and social media account management.
Engage advisers and wealth managers with up-to-date information on investment products and business building ideas.
Develop an understanding of each client's investment management philosophy as well as the investment strategy of each fund.
Assist with managing investment due diligence questionnaire requests from institutional research teams, in collaboration with members of client investment management team.
Coordinate responses to investor inquiries received via web, calls, and emails.
Prepare and present quarterly updates on activities and market dynamics to clients.
Consult with clients on product placement and capital market consulting.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience performing and/or supporting wholesaling activities for registered investment products
Specific proficiency in capital market relationships preferred
Digital Marketing Expertise is a plus
Proven track record of developing sales results in assigned territory
Strong relationship building skills-client focused
Excellent presentation skills
Series 7 and Series 63
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Willing to travel
Compensation Range:
$100,000 - $150,000
The actual salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, industry experience, certifications, and other factors.
