About The Team



IBG team is at the forefront of building core platforms and services to enable Walmart to anticipate our consumer's needs better than ever by predicting what they want based on unconstrained demand, and efficiently unlock strategic growth, economic profit, and wallet share by orchestrating intelligent, connected planning and decisioning across all functions.Aligned with the overall product vision, we aim to build a platform for collaboration that will bring cross-functional teams together during the strategic planning process. This will provide a structure for measuring the impact of multiple initiatives on the P&L and prescriptive insights for connected decision making. The platform will be integrated with up/downstream systems to systematically execute approved plans and offer end-to-end visibility into value realization. The successful delivery of this platform will enable us to make intelligent and collaborative financial data driven decisions. Features in the platform are designed and developed as independent components to enable plug & play capabilities which can offer reusability and potentially monetization.



What you'll do:


As a Principal Technical Program Manager, your main responsibilities will revolve around managing large software development programs. You will work closely with architects, engineering, product, design and business leaders to ensure the successful completion of these programs . To do this, you will need to have a deep understanding of software architecture, software design principles and contribute to architectural decision-making processes. You will also need to demonstrate influential skills by building strong relationships with stakeholders across Walmart, ensuring alignment on roles, responsibilities, and project cadences. Your role will involve defining goals, stage gates, critical delivery paths, and key deliverables for large-scale programs that incorporate multiple programs with dependencies across multiple areas of work, timelines, and resource constraints. Efficient engineering resource utilization and delivery will be a priority, and you will need to simplify and clarify priorities and create plans with appropriate milestones for advance planning and executive buy-in. You will also establish a resource capacity allocation process and tool to transform the planning process. Your problem-solving and decision-making skills will be crucial in navigating any setbacks or obstacles that may arise. Overall, as a seasoned professional, your expertise and passion for driving technical projects to success will be invaluable in this role at Walmart FinTech.



What you'll bring:


Minimum Qualifications


  • A bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.

  • 7+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager in software delivery within a related industry managing aggressive schedules and significant business impact.

  • Experience supporting and executing a large software portfolio, collaborating with multiple business stakeholders.

  • Experienced in system/platform design concepts, architecture, UX design, services, APIs, and technologies.

  • Build positive relationships and collaborate with product managers to understand target personas and business process needs, which you will then translate into features and user stories that engineers will leverage to iterate products quickly.

  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a love for data and solving complex problems.

  • Expertise in change & risk management methodologies, project management tools, techniques, project tracking tools, dashboards, and reports

  • Strong communicator in both verbal and written forms and are equally adept in communicating upwards, outwards, and downward.

  • Deep understanding of JIRA, JIRA Align, Big Picture, etc. would be advantageous.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters in degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.

  • 10+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager in software delivery within a related industry managing aggressive schedules and significant business impact.

  • 5+ years' experience in retail industry

  • Project Management certification

Bentonville, Arkansas US-10735:The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
