Job Description:

The Accounts Payable Clerk II performs all aspects of the accounting department for Replacement Parts, Inc., the corporate office of Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts. Obtains authorization coding to correct expense categories and generates checks for all monies owned by the company. Today, Replacement Parts, Inc. and Crow Burlingame is made up of a corporate staff, wholesale auto parts and automotive paint store locations, and our warehouse division, Parts Warehouse Inc. (PWI). Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Provides exceptional customer service. This includes, but is not limited to: assessing customer needs, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating customer satisfaction.

  • Receives and process documents by reviewing for completeness and clarity.

  • Assists customers and employees with accounts payable questions.

  • Resolves invoice/purchase order discrepancies.

  • Prepares reports.

  • Prepares checks in a timely manner for distribution.

  • Checks figures, postings and documents for correct entry, accuracy and proper codes.

  • Participates in or handles special projects as needed.
  • All other job duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Great Plains Accounting software and the Microsoft Office suite of products. 10-key proficiency is required.
