Baer is looking for Revenue Cycle Engineering Lead for a 3 month Federal Remote Project.

Title: Revenue Cycle Engineering Lead
Location: Hybrid with Possible Onsite in Reston, VA
Duration: 6+ months
Rate: All-Inclusive
Alignment: W2 or C2C (Single Person LLC Only - Vendors Not Permitted)

Description:

• Lead the architecture and engineering analysis for revenue cycle capabilities, ensuring seamless integration with billing, coding, claims processing, and financial reporting systems.
• Develop strategic plans to automate RCM processes, improving billing efficiency, and optimizing revenue capture to maximize reimbursement.
• Oversee teams implementing RCM capabilities using formal design techniques such as data flow diagrams and financial reporting standards, enhancing operational efficiency.
• Evaluate and refine existing revenue cycle workflows to reduce errors, improve performance, and streamline cost structures.
• Lead development and integration lifecycle management for RCM systems, ensuring high-performing, stable applications.
• Support systems architecture design, data exchange protocols, and lifecycle management with a focus on automation, risk management, and electronic financial analysis.
• Provide briefings and reports to senior leadership on the impact of engineering enhancements to RCM systems.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of Electronic Health Records (EHR) experience
• 7+ years of Revenue Analytics experience
• 7+ years of Provider Revenue Cycle experience
• Expertise in revenue cycle engineering in a large enterprise IT environment, focusing on financial and claims management.
• Strong background in engineering lifecycle management for revenue cycle IT infrastructure.
• Proven experience in project management, budget forecasting, and resource allocation for RCM-related projects.
• US Citizenship required.
• Experience with EHR and revenue cycle system integration.
• In-depth understanding of healthcare claims systems, medical billing, and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with DoD Configuration Management methodologies, especially in financial systems.
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline architecture applied to financial and claims processing systems.
• Experience with Cerner revenue cycle solutions or similar systems, including claim adjudication processes and patient accounting functions.

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience)
