What you will be doing:
Helen of Troy is seeking a forward-thinking Director of Digital Operations with a passion for enhancing operational efficiency through technology. This strategic leadership role involves evolving our technology stack and ways of working suited to our dynamic business needs and fostering collaboration across multifunctional teams. The ideal candidate will drive the integration of IT and digital marketing among other functions leveraging their expertise to create a seamless, innovative, and agile digital ecosystem.
The Director of Digital Operations is a Martech expert responsible for optimizing Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) systems, tools, and workflows to drive operational efficiency, scalability, and growth. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to streamline processes, enhance platform functionality, and ensure seamless execution of digital initiatives. As the key liaison between Marketing and IT, the Director of Digital Operations ensures that Martech solutions-including PXM, DAM, and AI-driven technologies-are effectively leveraged to improve business performance and future-proof digital capabilities.
Act as the bridge between Marketing, DTC, and IT, ensuring alignment on the DTC technology roadmap and driving its execution.
Partner with the DTC teams and IT to prioritize and roll out new platform functionalities across brands.
Evaluate, implement, and optimize Martech solutions (e.g., PIM, DAM, Analytics, AI-driven optimization) to drive efficiency.
Ensure seamless integration and interoperability of Martech tools across the digital ecosystem.
Identify and lead initiatives to optimize workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and improve ways of working (WOW) across DTC and IT operations.
Collaborate with IT to prioritize IT OPEX for tools and vendors, conducting cost-benefit analyses to ensure efficient platform investments.
Establish best practices for Martech governance, process standardization, and scalability.
Manage analytics setup, maintenance, and ongoing oversight to ensure accurate tracking and data-driven decision-making.
Partner with DTC and IT teams to ensure data integrity and accessibility across digital platforms, supporting marketing performance analysis.
Implement and maintain measurement frameworks to track Martech efficiency, tool adoption, and return on investment (ROI).
Skills needed to be successful in this role:
Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally, particularly between marketing and IT.
Proven track record of leading operational efficiency initiatives and optimizing Martech investments.
Strong data analytics capabilities and experience with performance measurement tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and BI dashboards.
Familiarity with CRM platforms (Klaviyo, Salesforce, etc.) and marketing automation tools.
Understanding of AI-driven tools and emerging Martech innovations.
Strong knowledge of DTC platforms, e-commerce tech stacks, analytics tools, and automation platforms.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
7+ years of experience in Martech, digital operations, or marketing technology strategy.
Experience managing IT budget allocations and vendor negotiations.
Experience in Shopify, Magento, or other DTC e-commerce platforms and tools such as: Product Information Management (PIM), Digital Asset Management (DAM), Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), and AI-driven marketing solutions.
Experience working with and/or managing IT teams, including roadmap planning, sprint management, and backlog prioritization using tools like Jira, Confluence, and Asana to ensure seamless execution of DTC technology initiatives.
Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
