Your Role:


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Acts as subject matter expert (SME) for specific defined area(s), e.g., B-cell cloning, flow cytometry, CHO cell expression, protein purification, 3D/organoid cell culture.

  • Acts as key driver/ champion on project teams; Acts as project R&D lead, working with appropriate cross-functional departments.

  • Complete all work and documentation in compliance with established cGMP, FDA, OSHA, USDA, EPA, ISO and Quality System regulations as applicable, to assure output meets established quality and regulatory specifications.

  • As requested, participate in the implementation of cGMP and ISO compliance standards and assist with investigations dealing with manufacturing processes.

  • Follow regulatory and standard requirements as applicable to the site, i.e., MDSAP, ISO 13485, IVDR, and compliance with the site Quality Manual.

  • Develop, write, and update documents pertaining to lab procedures and product manufacturing to maintain cGMP and ISO compliance; write lab reports or project summaries as requested.

  • Perform laboratory operations such as manual and automated tissue staining, antibody activity evaluation, and formulations to manufacture reagents according to established manufacturing procedures.

  • Perform training of laboratory personnel and oversight of new staff members.

  • Continuously seeks improvements and/or expansion of scientific concepts to enhance efficiencies and/or grow the associated area of business.

  • Ensure all quality requirements and scheduled deadlines are met.

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from verification testing to ensure that products meet all specifications.

  • Develop new assays as needed; Analyze and review methods as needed during process.

  • Manage development and transfer manufacturing processes, including instrumentation and training of staff.

  • Cleaning of labware as well as general lab cleaning.

  • Maintain inventory of all chemicals and supplies required for laboratory needs.

  • Perform equipment maintenance as necessary.

  • This role is located at the Laclede Avenue location.




Who You Are:




Minimum Qualifications:



  • Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other Life Scientific discipline and 1+ years of experience working within a regulated laboratory environment.

OR

  • Masters Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other Life Scientific discipline and 3+ years of experience working within a regulated laboratory environment.

OR

  • Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or other Life Scientific discipline and 8+ years of experience working within a regulated laboratory environment.

  • 1+ years of experience following Standard Operating Procedures.

  • 1+ years of experience completing Manufacturing Procedure batch records.

  • 1+ years of experience with immunoassays and tissue staining.




Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with regulatory and standard requirements applicable to the site, i.e., MDSAP, ISO 13485, IVDR.

  • Experience with protein detection technologies, such as ELISA and immunohistochemistry staining, mammalian cell line expression and purification of antibodies, flow cytometry and cell sorting.

  • Experience in growing 3D cultures/organoids.
