Your role
The Receiving Operator is responsible for the following tasks and duties on a daily basis:
Receive and inspect materials from external vendors, and sort them into the appropriate system (e.g., SAP)
Scan or meter products into the receiving system
Accurately document all material movements
Verify chemicals, catalog numbers, lot numbers, special request information, unit sizes, and weights against order documentation and packing instructions
Operate required equipment to produce documents for workload
Sample bulk materials for analytical purposes
Locate, move, deliver, or return all required materials to the proper areas
Print and apply all required labels and markings to comply with hazardous materials regulations
Report unsafe or potentially unsafe hazards to team leads or any member of management
Pack materials following established procedures and instructions, while complying with hazard regulations for shipment to customers
Condense, straighten, and maintain the dock, receiving, and sampling areas
Operate a powered pallet jack and manual material handling equipment as needed
Load and unload freight as needed
Complete miscellaneous duties, projects, and tasks as assigned
Maintain exemplary attendance and adherence to schedule
Follow all good documentation practices (GDP)
Shift/hours: 2nd shift, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, M-F
Who you are
Minimum Qualifications:
HS Diploma and 2+ years of receiving and/or material handling experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrate professional verbal and written communication skills with all levels of staff
Ability to work quickly and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
Operate PCs, scanners, printers, and shipping equipment
Ability to read, hear, speak and understand English language
Ability to work in a group setting
Ability to operate PCs, scanners, printers, shipping equipment (meters, tape machines, etc.) and various cutting instruments
Detail oriented
