Provides clinical data services (daily abstraction, entry, and routine updates) for the Urology Department's clinical databases, specific to bladder cancer, fulfilling requests in a timely manner; acts as a certified honest broker; abstracts data from medical record system or other institutional sources and accurately enters into a data collection system. Oversees and manages all administrative duties and correspondence associated with the International Robotic Cystectomy Consortium (IRCC) Database. Works with faculty, staff, and all levels of trainees in utilizing the data to support clinical inquiry as deemed necessary. Monitors data collection system for consistency and completeness. Provides, organizes, and maintains all documentation of data, data definitions, and data requests. Corresponds with internal and external investigators to determine their data requirements. Works under the direction of the Departmental Chair, the ATLAS administrator, and Senior Biostatistician within the department.
Salary Range for the Data Manager I is $53,357 - $67,810 which includes a comprehensive benefits package. The listed pay range reflects the range of potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time professional experience; or 2. Associate's degree and the equivalent of four (4) years of professional experience.
NOTE: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Proficient in the collection, entry, and quality checks of clinical data (at least 2 years of experience)
Ability to work with medium to large data sets primarily in Microsoft Excel
Proficient in the use of REDCap managing online databases
Comfortable with working with physicians and other research personnel in a professional environment
Familiarity with medical terminology gained through work experience in health care setting (Urology experience highly preferred)
