Opportunity Highlights
Shift: 4th - Saturday and Sunday 05:00am - 01:30pm, plus 2-3 additional days per week, usually day shift
The Opportunity
As a Lab Supervisor with Tradebe, you will perform day to day laboratory duties including testing samples that Tradebe is receiving at our plants and supervisor your assigned shift. The type of testing typically includes a variety of hazardous waste and chemicals. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of hazardous materials, chemicals, and chemistry knowledge as well as some supervisor experience.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Supervising lab chemists on your assigned shift
- Wet chemistry laboratory duties including: pH, moisture, oxidation, titration
- Daily Processing of waste samples to include but not limited to: Fuel compatibility, bomb calorimetry, GC analysis, metals analysis
- Daily equipment calibration: Calorimeter, pH meter, GC-MS, GC-FID
- Additional laboratory support in the areas of standards preparation, record keeping and other general laboratory duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science and /or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree is desirable.
- Must successfully complete Hazwoper training.
- Experience performing wet chemistry procedures
- Gas chromatography experience and general lab practices are desirable.
- Hazardous material training.
- Previous supervisory experience a plus.
