The Opportunity


  • Manage multiple projects or program(s) simultaneously as assigned by Senior Director, EPMO and Governance.
  • Responsible for the successful delivery of projects and/or programs across the project life cycle.
  • Ensure constant monitoring of schedule and budget adherence.
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of all required and needed project documentation, ensuring compliance with Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) standards.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Escalate and resolve issues and obstacles.
  • Ensure all required documentation is created and maintained.
  • Prepare and update estimates and track budget-related documents.
  • Develop project planning documentation for all types of projects (waterfall, iterative, agile, scrum), phases, and deliverables.
  • Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities.
  • Govern scheduled team deliverables for costs and timing.
  • Prepare estimates and detailed project schedule with assistance from project assigned subject matter experts (SMEs) for all phases of the project.
  • Analyze and develop change requests, as needed.
  • Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes and escalate resource constraints, as needed.
  • Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources.
  • Chair the project management team and facilitate Steering Committee meetings.
  • Ensure interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs are clearly documented within the project schedule and all needed documentation.
  • Manage scope and process all project changes through the project change control process.
  • Mentor and train Project Managers.
  • Provide leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
  • Provide performance feedback to the functional managers of team members as needed and/or at the end of the project, as required for successful team management and completion of needed deliverables.
  • Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices.
  • Conduct interviews for Project Coordinators or Project Managers.
  • Provide guidance during the Initiation phase of the project.
  • Facilitate training events, as needed.
  • Contribute to the Annual Planning cadence.
  • Assist with the review process of Off-Cycle project requests.

Required Experience and Competencies


  • 5 years of experience as a Project Manager independently leading and managing medium to large projects required.
  • Experience managing projects within a matrixed environment required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Project Management, Business Administration) or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the attainment of the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities is required.
  • Experience managing technical projects, with the ability to translate from business speak to tech preferred.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting schedule, budget and quality goals when leading project teams of five (5) or more people within ever changing environments.
  • Knowledge of the methods and tools used for risk assessment and mitigation in large-scale high-profile operations/tactical projects.
  • Knowledge of the standards and practices of budget development/implementation and process/performance improvement as relates to complex operational/systems projects.
  • Ability to plan and manage critical large-scale, high-risk and/or high-cost projects that span disciplines, business cultures and multiple organizations.
  • Ability to negotiate and modify project plans to reflect changes in organizational culture, business strategy, available resources and/or emerging technology.
  • Ability to present, explain and interpret highly technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and facilitates consensus and gains compliance among individuals having different priorities, requirements and resources.
  • Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary resources to facilitate a project's completion, and to accurately process, manage and maintain progress on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to deal successfully with leadership, managerial, technical and business stakeholders, and to coordinate multi-disciplinary resources to control projects that have significant organizational impact.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents and to identify/interpret requirements/specifications pertinent to the assigned project.
  • Ability to effectively intervene to impose control on overdue, over-budget or otherwise troubled projects.
  • Ability to provide expert technical advice, guidance and recommendations to management and stakeholders on critical operational issues.
  • Ability to use office equipment and automated systems/applications/software at an acceptable level of proficiency, including Microsoft Project (or equivalent software) in defining, planning, resourcing, managing and reporting assigned projects.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as required by the duties of the position, including various management levels, vendors and external organizations/agencies.
  • Ability to read, understand and communicate in English sufficient to perform the duties of the position.

We are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $109,440 - $139,535, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible to participate in our annual corporate Success Sharing bonus program, which is based on the company's annual performance. If you are hired at Vituity, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience.
