Role/ Department:

The Head of Product Management - Asset Servicing is responsible for spearheading the strategic direction, and management of asset servicing products and solutions. This Executive leadership role involves working closely with internal stakeholders, clients, and industry bodies to enhance the firm's asset servicing offerings, ensuring they remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with market trends.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

Product Strategy & Development:


  • Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for asset servicing, aligning with business objectives and client needs.

  • Assume responsibility for pricing and P&L of asset serving products

  • Drive innovation efforts, identifying market trends and emerging technologies to enhance service offerings.

  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of asset servicing products, including Custody, Fund Administration, Banking & Markets & Data

Client & Market Engagement:


  • Engage with key clients to understand their needs and develop solutions that add value to their operations.

  • Represent the company at industry forums, conferences, and client meetings to position the firm as a thought leader in asset servicing.

  • Monitor competitive and regulatory landscapes, ensuring product offerings are aligned with industry best practices.

Operational & Risk Management:


  • Collaborate with technology, operations, and risk teams to ensure seamless delivery and operational efficiency.

  • Drive prioritization of client change management process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance service quality and cost efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across different jurisdictions.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management:


  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a high-performance culture.

  • Work closely with senior executives, sales, technology, and operations teams to align product strategy with broader business goals.

  • Influence key decision-makers and drive cross-functional collaboration.

Skills/ Qualifications:


  • Extensive experience in product management within asset servicing, custody, data & digital, fund servicing

  • Strong understanding of financial markets, post-trade operations, and regulatory environments.

  • Proven track record of developing and managing financial services products at a strategic level.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage senior executives and clients.

  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Experience with digital transformation and automation in asset servicing is a plus.

Salary Range:
300,000.00 to 400,000.00

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
