YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Chair-Side Assistance & Clinical Support:

  • Assist in all routine dental procedures, including general dentistry, restorative treatments, oral surgery, endodontics, and periodontics.
  • Prepare patients and treatment areas, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are set up for each procedure.
  • Accurately record treatments, charting, and clinical notes in Dentrix.

Patient Care & Preventative Treatment:

  • Provide routine prophylaxis, topical fluoride treatments, and sealant applications as prescribed by the dentist.
  • Assist in taking and recording vital signs, ensuring patient safety throughout treatment.
  • Offer patient education on oral hygiene, preventative care, and post-treatment instructions.

Sterilization & Equipment Management:

  • Clean, sterilize, package, and store dental instruments according to best practices. 
  • Maintain the cleanliness and operability of the dental clinic, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
  • Assist with performing preventative maintenance on dental equipment and manage supply inventory.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Education:

  • Graduate of a Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) accredited dental assistant program.

Experience:

  • Minimum two (2) years of dental assisting experience, with knowledge of restorative, endodontic, periodontal, and oral surgery procedures. 

What You’ll Bring:

  • An active, valid, and unrestricted U.S. Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification from the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) for duration of employment.
  • Proficiency in operating dental X-ray equipment and taking intra- and extra-oral radiographs.
  • Strong understanding of infection control, sterilization protocols, and chair-side assistance.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, adaptability, and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  • Ability to work efficiently with Dentrix EHR for documentation and patient management. 
  • Up-to-date immunization records (or approved exemption). 
  • Preferred certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), radiology, health and safety, infection control and general chair-side assisting.
